RTL hubs approaching completion

Evolution Design is working on the masterplanning of the RTL Germany’s broadcasting and workplace centre in Cologne. This expansive facility, spanning approximately 80,000 square meters and nestled within the historic Rheinhallen in Cologne-Deutz, encompasses broadcasting and production studios, workspaces, meeting and event areas, a canteen as well as multiple social hubs catering to RTL's employees and guests.

Two hubs dedicated to nurturing social interactions, hosting large-scale events, facilitating collaboration, and offering rejuvenating coffee breaks are nearing completion.

These special areas are built as part of a pilot project and align with RTL's ongoing commitment to re-developing its workplace strategy and instilling innovative work principles into its daily office operations. 

Both hubs have been thoughtfully curated to house an array of informal meeting and event spaces, sophisticated coffee stations, and an assortment of meeting rooms enveloping these vibrant hubs. A lively and welcoming ambiance is fostered through the thoughtful selection of colours, comfortable furnishings, and a mix of textures.

Recently, Evolution’s project team conducted a site visit to prepare for the final stages of the project. Presented below are their initial impressions, with additional images scheduled for release shortly.
