«L1VE» is a micro apartments development in St. Gallen.
The project was designed for iLive Group, a developer and operator of micro apartments, as response to the growing need for affordable and sustainable accommodation in the vicinity of the University of St. Gallen.

Flexible apartment fit-out
Flexibility to allow for maximum comfort was the main criteria in planning the micro apartments. Each unit, approx. 22 sqm in size, is equipped with a number of foldable and movable elements, like a sofa that doubles as a desk and a bed that folds up into the wall. A ‘smart’ wall consisting of a built-in kitchen unit and ample storage space complements the micro living concept – smart use of limited space.
Community spirit in the living room
On the ground floor of the building, there is a communal area designed to resemble a living room, where residents can cook and dine together, play games, entertain or learn together. Located behind the kitchen area is an elegant launderette. Encased by sleek glazed partition walls, the laundry room becomes part of the ‘living’ space. The time spent waiting for the laundry to be finished can be used for socializing or learning in a fun atmosphere.
