Marco Huwiler shares an update on Accenture City Campus progress
Accenture Switzerland is approaching a major milestone as it gradually moves closer to the much-anticipated unveiling of its new City Campus in Zurich.
Country managing director of Accenture Switzerland, Marco Huwiler, recently provided an exciting update on the project, reflecting on its journey from the initial stages to the final stretch. «It all started two years ago when we signed the lease for our new Accenture office in Zurich. Now, we’re only a few months away from our big opening,» Marco Huwiler shared on LinkedIn, highlighting the remarkable progress made since construction began.
The new Accenture City Campus, located at Pelikanstrasse and Sihlstrasse in the centre of Zurich, will complement Accenture's existing offices in the area, including Accenture Interactive and the Fjord design agency, forming a cohesive and innovative work environment across a 9,000-square-meter space. This expansion will provide a modern, collaborative workplace for over 1,000 employees, reinforcing Accenture's commitment to growth and innovation in Switzerland.
Marco Huwiler fondly recalled a pivotal moment when the site was still in its early stages of transformation. «In June 2022, when the forklift picture was taken, it was hard to imagine that we would call this site right in the city centre of Zurich our home one day. Construction materials were everywhere, and the workers had only just started to take down the old walls and piping.»
Now, with the construction phase nearly complete, the focus is shifting to the final touches that will make the office truly unique. «In a few weeks, we’ll start to bring in the furniture and all the decorations to make this office one of a kind. I am sure the experience for our people will be like no other.»
The anticipation and excitement surrounding the new campus reflect Accenture's vision of creating an exceptional workplace in the heart of Zurich. The new location will be gradually occupied by January 2025.
