Evolution Design upgrades its Zurich office
Following the global pandemic, Evolution Design has actively embraced the changes in the world of work by improving its Zurich studio.
«When the pandemic started, it was clear from the onset that the way we work would change forever and that remote work is here to stay. Therefore, our workplace has to offer added value when our team comes to the office. It has to be the place where we celebrate our culture and foster team bonding and collaboration,» explains Stefan Camenzind, partner and executive director.
The key priority was extending our kitchen in order to create a comfortable and cosy space where our team can cook and eat together. Another essential requirement was designing a large and well organised sample library. Materials can now be selected and discussed together with our clients in a practical and creative process, adding value to the overall design.
Instead of having a traditional reception, we transformed the entrance corridor into the epitome of Evolution Design’s ethos. By applying a geometric ribbon in lime green, the hallway reflects the invigorating process of evolution, design and creativity. It also accommodates two acoustic booths that are equipped with sit / stand desks and large screens to allow for video calls to be conducted in the most convenient and efficient way.
«We are a team of 20 people, and it can be challenging for small companies with limited space to offer the perfect post-pandemic workplace. One needs to come up with smart solutions of how to use the given space optimally, so we hope that our example will inspire other companies – small or large – to embrace the office transformation after the pandemic,» says Tanya Ruegg, partner and creative director.
