Spaces, Culture and Leadership

Stefan Camenzind speaks at the event dedicated to interior design, corporate culture, and leadership.

Last week, Evolution Design was delighted to contribute to an inspiring evening hosted by NEOVISO and berry, where experts and practitioners explored the interplay between space, culture and leadership.

Invited as a keynote speaker, our executive director Stefan Camenzind offered insights into how spatial design influences leadership, identification and corporate culture – and how thoughtfully designed environments can enable meaningful collaboration. His insights set the tone for an evening rich in reflection and forward-looking dialogue.

Following the keynote, Patrick Waldis (CEO, berry) and János Bucher (NEOVISO) shared honest, hands-on reflections from their joint organisational journey. Their conversation was further energised by Yannick Blättler (NEOVISO), who illuminated what the next generation expects from leadership and modern workplace culture, and why these expectations matter today more than ever.

The evening concluded with a compelling perspective from Barbara Bader, Rector of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, showcasing how space and culture actively reinforce one another at HSLU — and how intentional design can bring both to life.

A key takeaway resonated throughout the event:

  • Spaces shape culture.
  • Culture shapes leadership.
  • And leadership creates the foundation for trust and collaboration.

We thank NEOVISO and berry for the invitation and the inspiring exchange, as well as all participants for the open discussions and engaging conversations that continued with a lovely apero.
