In collaboration with the Global Sustainable Association, the Kyoto Global Design Awards' expert jury panel meticulously selects and nominates 100 outstanding designers and design studios annually. These nominees are trailblazers and visionaries who have either set trends or made significant contributions to the design sphere. The nomination criteria encompass not only the design features of their projects but also their functionality, emphasizing human well-being, and their commitment to environmental protection.
Among this year's esteemed architecture firms are renowned entities such as the Dutch architecture practice MVRDV, the Chinese powerhouse MAD Architects, the Japanese luminary Sou Fujimoto, the American practice SOM, the German-based HENN, among others.
