Our Award-Winning Projects of 2022

We would like to sincerely thank our clients for entrusting us with the implementation of their visions and are endlessly grateful to our design teams for transforming those visions into tangible spaces that have a positive impact on users and the wider community.

Here’s an overview of our award-winning projects of 2022:

SQUARE

We are extremely happy to announce that our most recent project, the learning centre of University of St. Gallen, called SQUARE, has won the platinum award in the Architecture & Design Collection Awards.

The award organisers maintain that the «Architecture & Design Collection Award is an open platform for creativity and talent, where all the participants can showcase their best works, giving them greater visibility around the world. Our intention is to celebrate and honour diversity with remarkable works globally.»

The winning projects showcase exceptional quality in three main categories: innovation and originality, design and aesthetics, and functionality and spatial integration.

Barry Callebaut headquarters

Our design for Barry Callebaut headquarters has won four awards:

• The European Property Awards – Best Office Interior in Switzerland
• Novum Design Awards – Interior Design category – Golden Award
• Architecture & Design Collection Awards – Office Interior category – Silver Award
• A’Design Award & Competition – Interior Space category – Silver Award

«We are very excited about our new office. It is a perfect post-covid workplace, it has all the attraction points and it is very well set up functionally, so that people can return to the office in the easiest way possible,» says Fabian Stierli, Vice President for EEMEA at Barry Callebaut.

RTL Audio Center

The RTL’s Audio Center in Berlin is not only the most technologically advanced audio production centre in Europe, but it also stands out for its award-winning interior and lighting design. The project won three awards: 

• The European Property Awards – Best Office Interior in Germany
• Der Deutsche Lichtdesign-Preis – Winner
• A’Design Award & Competition – Interior Space category – Silver Award

«Our client’s vision was to re-think the radio and audio production and create a hub that is technologically advanced, comfortable and fosters creativity among the radio production teams. These are people who frequently work anti-social hours and are expected to convey energy and creativity to their audiences. Our creative team went above and beyond in delivering interiors that embody the energy of the music industry, while references to Berlin’s edgy urban vibe further enhance the centre’s unique identity,» says Tanya Ruegg, partner and creative director of Evolution Design.

JED

The project JED stood out in 2022 by winning Switzerland’s best commercial renovation / redevelopment category in The European Property Awards.

«Our architectural vision of creating comfortable and connected spaces that people love using has become a reality. An industrial site, which has a wealth of history and character, continues in the shape of a modern hub for work, knowledge exchange and a place where people meet,» says Stefan Camenzind, partner and executive director of Evolution Design.

Entry Building to Sberbank headquarters

Last but not least, the entry building to Sberbank’s headquarters (completed in 2021) won six architecture and interior design awards, making it our most awarded project in 2022:

• Best Office Awards – Grand Prix winner
• Rethinking the Future Awards – Winner Mixed Use Building
• DNA Paris Design Awards – Architecture: Commercial & Offices category – Winner 
• Urban Design & Architecture Design Awards – Gold Award
• A’Design Award & Competition – Architecture & Building category – Gold Award
• Novum Design Awards – Golden Award

Under the circumstances, we decided not to celebrate winning these six awards for ethical/political reasons, however we would still like to congratulate our design team who showed incredible passion and creativity and worked tirelessly to deliver such an impressive project.
